Overview
ArtSites supports several types of pages, each designed for a specific purpose. Understanding the differences helps you choose the right type when building your website.
Page Types
Content Pages
Standard pages built from stackable content sections. Use these for your About page, artist statement, custom landing pages, or any freeform content. You add sections (text, images, hero banners, etc.) and arrange them in the order you want.
Gallery Index
The gallery index page automatically lists all your collections. Visitors see a grid of collection thumbnails and can click through to browse artwork in each collection. You don't need to manually update this page; it reflects your collections automatically.
Blog Index
The blog index page lists all your published blog posts in reverse chronological order (newest first). Each post appears with its title, date, and optional cover image. Visitors click through to read full posts.
Events Index
Similar to the blog index, the events page lists your events. Upcoming events appear first, with past events below. Each event shows its title, date, time, and location.
Contact Page
A dedicated contact page that displays your configured contact information, social media links, and optionally a messaging form that lets visitors reach you directly.
Tips
- Basic accounts have 3 fixed pages (Portfolio, About, Contact); you cannot add or remove pages
- Pro accounts can create unlimited pages of any type
- Every website needs at least a home page: set which page appears when visitors arrive at your URL
- You can change which page is your home page at any time in Settings
