Blog Posts and Events

Overview

Pro accounts can create blog posts and events to share news, exhibition announcements, and updates with their audience. Both feature types use the same section-based content system as regular pages.

Blog Posts

Creating a Blog Post

  1. Go to Pages and open your Blog index page
  2. Click New Post
  3. Enter a title for your post
  4. Optionally add a cover image: this appears on the blog index and at the top of the post
  5. Add content sections (text, images, quotes, etc.)
  6. Set the publish date
  7. Click Publish when ready, or leave it Hidden to finish later

Blog Post Features

  • Posts appear on your blog index page in reverse chronological order
  • Each post gets its own URL based on its title
  • Cover images make your blog index visually engaging
  • Hidden posts are only visible to you until you publish them

Events

Creating an Event

  1. Go to Pages and open your Events index page
  2. Click New Event
  3. Enter a title (e.g., "Summer Exhibition at Main Street Gallery")
  4. Set the start date and time, and optionally an end date
  5. Add a location (venue name, address)
  6. Optionally add a cover image
  7. Add content sections for additional details

Event Features

  • Upcoming events appear at the top of your events page
  • Past events move below the upcoming section automatically
  • Each event gets its own detail page with all the information
  • Location information helps visitors find your exhibitions

Tips

  • Consistency matters: try to post regularly rather than in bursts
  • Cover images significantly increase engagement on both blog posts and events
  • Use blog posts to share your artistic process, behind-the-scenes insights, or exhibition reviews
  • Add events well in advance so visitors can plan ahead
  • Both blog posts and events support the same content sections as regular pages
