Overview
You grow your group website by inviting artists to join as members. Both you and the artist agree before the membership is active.
How to Invite an Artist
- Go to Artists in the admin dashboard.
- Click Invite Artist.
- Enter the artist's email address.
- Optionally add a personal message to the invitation.
- Click Send Invitation.
The artist receives an email with a link to accept the invitation. If they already have an ArtSites account, they can accept immediately. If they are new to ArtSites, they create an account as part of accepting.
Agreement From Both Sides
Membership requires agreement from both sides:
- You initiate the invitation, signalling that you want the artist in your group.
- The artist accepts the invitation, confirming they want to participate.
Neither side is committed until both have agreed. This keeps the process respectful and transparent.
What the Invited Artist Sees
The artist receives an email explaining:
- Which group website invited them
- Who sent the invitation (your name and the website name)
- What to expect as a member
- A link to accept or decline
After accepting, the artist gets a profile on your group website and can start submitting artwork according to your sharing rules.
Monitoring Invitation Status
The Artists section shows the status of all invitations:
- Pending: Invitation sent, waiting for response
- Accepted: Artist has joined the group
- Declined: Artist chose not to join
Re-sending Invitations
If an artist has not responded, you can re-send the invitation:
- Go to Artists and find the pending invitation.
- Click the actions menu next to the artist's name.
- Select Re-send Invitation.
A new invitation email is sent. There is no limit on re-sends, but respect the artist's time. If they have not responded after a couple of reminders, it may be best to reach out personally.
