Overview
ArtSites guides you through setting up your website with step-by-step wizards. Each wizard walks you through a specific task so you can get up and running without needing to find every setting on your own.
Profile Setup Wizard
The profile setup wizard runs when you first create your account. It helps you establish your presence on ArtSites.
You'll be guided through:
- Display name: the name shown on your website and directory listing
- Bio: a short introduction about you and your artistic practice
- Avatar: a profile image for your dashboard and directory listing
- Social links: links to your social media accounts or external website
- First artwork upload: add your first work to get your portfolio started
Add Artwork Wizard
The add artwork wizard helps you upload new works with all the right details.
You'll be guided through:
- Upload images: drag and drop or browse for your image files
- Title: a name for the artwork
- Description: context, inspiration, or background for the work
- Medium: the materials or techniques used
- Year: when the artwork was created
- Dimensions: the physical size of the work
Add Page Wizard
The add page wizard helps you create new pages for your website.
You'll be guided through:
- Page type: choose from available page types (e.g., collection, blog, about)
- Title: the name of the page as it appears in your menu
- Configuration: options specific to the page type you selected
Saving Your Progress
Wizards save your progress as you go. If you need to step away, you can return later and pick up where you left off. Your completed steps are preserved.
Skipping Wizards
Wizards are optional. If you prefer to set things up on your own, you can skip any wizard and configure everything manually through your dashboard. All the same settings are available in Settings and through the relevant sections of your dashboard.
