Overview
Getting started with ArtSites takes a few minutes. You sign up with just your email address. There's no password to choose. Verify your email, and you're ready to start building your portfolio.
How to sign up
- Visit the ArtSites homepage and click Sign Up.
- Enter your name (optional) and your email address, then click Sign Up. There's no password to set.
- We create your account and a free trial website for you right away, and email you a verification link.
- Open the email from ArtSites and click the button inside it.
- The link opens a short page with a Verify my email button. Click it to confirm your address.
- You're taken straight into setting up your portfolio.
Your trial website is ready the moment you sign up. Verifying your email is what makes your profile public and unlocks the rest of your features.
Verifying from a different device
Sometimes you sign up on your computer but the email arrives on your phone. You don't have to switch devices to finish.
The verification email also includes a short verification code. Back on the "Check your email" page, type that code into the Enter your code box and click Verify and continue. That verifies you right where you started.
The link and the code do the same thing. Use whichever is easier.
Logging in later
ArtSites doesn't need a password. When you come back:
- Go to the login page and enter your email address.
- We email you a login link. Open it and click Log in to finish.
- Reading the email on another device? Type the login code from it into the box on the page instead.
You can set a password later from your settings if you'd rather use one, but you never have to.
After you sign up
Once you finish setting up your site, or skip it for now, we send you a welcome email worth keeping. It has your website address, a reminder of how to log back in, and links to tutorials, help, and support whenever you need them.
As you add artwork, your account unlocks more features, like a listing in the artist directory and a custom web address.
Tips
- Use an email address you check regularly. We send important notices there.
- If you don't see the verification email, check your spam folder.
- Login links and verification codes expire after a while, so use them soon after they arrive.
- You can change your email address later in your settings.
