Overview

Collections are the primary way to organise and present your artwork on ArtSites. Each collection becomes a dedicated page on your website where visitors can browse related artworks together. Think of them as curated exhibitions within your portfolio.

How To Create a Collection

1. Navigate to Collections in your dashboard
2. Click New Collection
3. Enter a name for the collection (e.g., "Abstract Series" or "Recent Work")
4. Add an optional description to provide context about the group of work
5. Click Create

Adding Artwork to a Collection

After creating a collection, populate it with artwork:

1. Open the collection from the Collections list
2. Click Add Artwork
3. Select artworks from your library: use search or filter to find specific artworks
4. Click Add Selected to include them
5. Drag to reorder artworks within the collection

Collection Ideas

• Group by series or project (e.g., "Urban Landscapes 2024")
• Group by medium (e.g., "Watercolours", "Digital Art")
• Create a "Featured" collection for your homepage highlight
• Separate available work from sold or private artworks

Tips

• An artwork can belong to multiple collections simultaneously
• Give collections clear, descriptive names that visitors can understand at a glance
• Collections with at least 5 artworks tend to feel more substantial to visitors
• You can change the collection name and description at any time without breaking links
• The first artwork in a collection is used as the collection's thumbnail in your menu
