Overview
Submission rules control how artwork flows into your group website. You can set default rules for all members and override them for specific artists.
Where to Find These Settings
Go to Settings then Sharing in the admin dashboard. This is where you configure all submission-related rules.
Auto-Select Mode
The auto-select mode determines whose artwork goes live without admin review. There are two options:
- Per-member: You choose which members' work is auto-accepted. Everyone else goes through juried review. This is the default and gives you the most control.
- All: Everything submitted goes live immediately. Use this for groups where all members are trusted curators of their own contributions.
To change the auto-select mode:
- Go to Settings then Sharing.
- Find the Auto-Select Mode setting.
- Choose Per-member or All.
- Click Save Changes.
Submission Limits
Each member has a submission limit that caps how many artworks they can have on the group website at one time. The default limit is 10, and you can set it anywhere from 1 to 100.
To change the default limit:
- Go to Settings then Sharing.
- Find the Default Submission Limit setting.
- Enter a number between 1 and 100.
- Click Save Changes.
This default applies to all members unless you set a per-member override.
Per-Member Overrides
You can customise both the submission limit and auto-select flag for individual members. This is useful when some artists need more space or when you trust certain members to self-curate.
- Go to Artists and open the artist's profile.
- Find the Sharing section.
- Adjust the Submission Limit and Auto-Select toggle as needed.
- Click Save Changes.
Per-member settings always take priority over the defaults.
Common Configurations
Here are a few approaches that work well:
- Gallery style: Auto-select set to per-member, all members juried, low limits. You review everything before it goes live.
- Collective style: Auto-select set to all, generous limits. Members manage their own contributions.
- Hybrid style: Auto-select set to per-member, trusted members auto-accepted, newer members juried. You relax restrictions as members prove themselves.
