Overview
You have full control over which artwork is visible on your website. You can hide individual works without deleting them, or delete artwork you no longer want to keep.
Hiding Artwork
Hiding is the safest way to remove artwork from public view. The artwork stays in your account and can be made public again at any time.
Visibility options
- Public: Visible to all visitors in your galleries
- Unlisted: Not shown in galleries, but still reachable by anyone with the direct link (useful for sharing with specific people)
- Hidden: Only visible to you when logged in. Its address doesn't work for visitors, not even with the link
How to hide artwork
- Go to Artwork in your dashboard
- Click the artwork you want to hide
- Find the Visibility or Status setting
- Change it to Hidden
- Click Save
The artwork is removed from your galleries immediately. You can restore it to Public at any time.
Deleting Artwork
Deleting artwork removes it from your account permanently. This cannot be undone.
Before deleting:
- Download your image files if you want to keep them; they are not recoverable after deletion
- Check collections: if the artwork is in any collections, it is removed from those collections automatically
- Check submissions: if the artwork has been submitted to a group website, it is withdrawn from that website before deletion
How to delete artwork
- Go to Artwork in your dashboard
- Click the artwork you want to delete
- Click the Delete button (usually in a settings menu or at the bottom of the edit form)
- Confirm the deletion
Which Option Should I Use?
| Situation | Recommended action |
|---|---|
| Work in progress, not ready to share | Hidden |
| Sharing privately with one person | Unlisted |
| Seasonal work you may want to show later | Hidden |
| Work you will never want again | Delete |
| Sold work you want to keep on record | Public, marked as Sold |
Tips
- When in doubt, hide rather than delete. It's always reversible.
- Deleting is permanent. Download your images before proceeding.
- Setting a page to Hidden affects the page but not the individual artwork records. Manage artwork visibility in the Artwork section, not the page editor.
