Overview

ArtSites has two plans: Basic, which is free, and Pro. You can move between them whenever you like from your Plan page.

Basic is an artist profile with a portfolio, a Custom URL, and a place in the artist directory. Pro is a website of your own: your own address, your own Design, your own pages, blog, events, and newsletters.

Neither plan limits how much work you can make. On both, you can add, edit, and keep your whole body of work. Your artist profile shows a curated 20 works and you choose which; a website of your own shows everything you've made.

Moving up to Pro

1. Go to Plan in your dashboard
2. Select Move up to Pro
3. You'll see the exact price and confirm it at our secure checkout before anything is charged

Your website is ready as soon as the payment goes through.

Moving back to Basic

This is what "cancelling" usually means, and you can do it whenever you like: it's as easy as moving up. If you're weighing it against going offline or leaving altogether, the article Cancelling Your Plan sets all four choices side by side.

• Your website is put away with everything on it kept, exactly as you left it, ready to come back
• Your artist profile, your Custom URL, your directory entry, and the works shown on them do not change
• Every work you've made is kept, stays editable, stays yours, and you can keep making more
• Payments stop at the end of the period you've already paid for

Trial Period

When you upgrade to Pro, you get a trial period to explore all Pro features before your first charge. The trial length and terms are shown on the upgrade screen. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged.

If your trial ends without upgrading, your website goes offline and its Custom URL is released for someone else to use. But your work is never deleted. It stays safe in your account, and you keep your free Basic artist profile. Upgrade any time to bring your website back online; we'll restore your Custom URL if it's still available.

Managing Your Plan

From Plan, you can move up to Pro, move back to Basic, take everything offline for a while, or leave. Each option says what it does before you choose it.

Payments and Invoices

Payment mechanics live on your Billing page. There you can see your renewal date, update your payment method, and read or download your invoices: each shows the amount, date, and payment method used.

If a Payment Doesn't Go Through

If a payment fails:

• Your website goes offline: visitors see a short "currently offline" notice instead of your pages
• Your work is never deleted: every artwork, page, and image stays safe in your account
• Your artist profile stays live, exactly as it is, on the free Basic plan
• Bringing your website back is one step, whenever you're ready

Leaving Pro vs Leaving ArtSites

• Moving back to Basic: you keep your artist profile, your portfolio, and all your work. Your website is put away with everything on it kept, ready to come back.
• Leaving ArtSites: ends your account. Everything is removed permanently after 30 days, and you can change your mind on any of those days. Take a copy of your work with you first.
